Thetford toilet
Thetford toilet
Looking at replacing the flushing mechanical mechanism on a Thetford C2/C3 toilet. Has anyone replaced one of these, and how easy to do so.

Re: Thetford toilet
Jim do you mean the "twist to open" mechanism or the "press to pump" bit?
I didn't think any of it would ever need replacing? Do you have a problem with it?

It's the mechanism that does twist to open as well as press to run the electric pump. And the electrics were the problem. Bit the bullet and whipped it off this arvo and found wires that had corroded and broken away. Hopefully (he says) all is now well. At least if it has to be renewed I now know how to do it.BruceS wrote:Jim do you mean the "twist to open" mechanism or the "press to pump" bit?
