Is it one of those big Sirrocco Fans. If it is, they are pretty good.
Cheers

Re: 12 volt ceiling fan
I'm guessing at that it one of these at that price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OZ-J-12V-Cei ... Sw0e9UzbQ8 Not quite sure if there would be enough head room in a caravan though Kay, tell us how it performs and how many time one of you stands up into it
The one in the bedroom at home gets me fairly regularly when taking off a T shirt or when climbing up on the bed head to look on top of the cupboard. they may be only wooden blades but they still give you a good wack when you aren't expecting it

Re: 12 volt ceiling fan
I know this is OT but there are some funny clips around of people getting hit by ceiling fan blades. I wouldn't have thought that there would be enough head clearance either. Might get a pic tomorrow?
Cheers

Doubt there would be any problems with their van... rear door with dining area immediately on lhs - opposite kitchen.

Re: 12 volt ceiling fan
As Chuck said there is room where it is "eventually " going to be installed. It does not have wooden blades & we saw it working in a room bigger than a van. Certainly it only covers a vansize room but it is just what we want. We have a 12v Breeze which can now stay in the "bedroom"

Re: 12 volt ceiling fan
Looking at the E bay listing they look to be plastic fan blades, is that correct Kay? looking forward to a report and photos as this might be good for the bed room in big bus, it has 7 ft ceilings so no problems with chopping the head off if I mount it closer to the bed head. Too far forward and the bed will hit it when it's up to access the under bed storage.Macca wrote:As Chuck said there is room where it is "eventually " going to be installed. Yes Terry they are plastic blades. Promise photos as soon as installed.

Consider adding a speed controller :

and a switch to reverse the direction of rotation so can circulate heat in winter without much draught.
