Be very careful how you answer this one Wayne

Re: Cut of switch
Wayne I use the marine style switches like this one.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271990400005 ... EBIDX%3AIT
They are available in black or red, I've used three, one to disconnect the solar, one for the 12v power feed to the inverter and one is a master which cuts all 12v from the lithium bank.
Depending on the model/brand some allow the knob bit to be removed completely which stops anyone turning things back on accidentally.

Re: Cut of switch
I have a switch wired into the control wire of the gigivacs. Open the circuit and the gigivac is OFF no power out or in.
Others will tell you if I am doing it right or not.
This makes it a low current switch and not a high current one so no spark etc and it is for me a safety switch as well for manual turn of if I want to select only one battery.
I have a 4x4 collision switch wired in as well before any control so in an event of a collision all my 240v is turned off and batteries disconnected.
To reset is just a matter of a lever to set all running again. so not sure if that is warranted but makes me feel more comfortable
Regards
Brian
