Shamelessly pinched this from the private forum, I think big business has a behind the scenes hand in this.
Damn, now I have to build a concrete bunker in VP

Re: Lithium Storage, as in how you store your Lithiums
It's the lead acid industry, they are petrified of lifepo4 and are desperate to put all lithium chemistries into the dangerous basket, that's why they always call lifepo4, li-ion. Of course lifepo4 is a li-ion chemistry, but the cathode is very different.
They also call lifepo4, LFP "lithium ferrophosphate", so it can get confusing for some, including me. Doubt it will happen, we get our lifepo4 cells flown in and they are accepted by customs, but you can't fly li-ion, li-poly, or Li-CoO2 in, they have to come by sea. As we all know lifepo4 is very safe and much safer then lead acid, as long as the cells aren't big, that's when they tend to have problems.

Yeah, that has been around for a while!
File it alongside doing your own electrical work, your own plumbing work and doing work for cash-in-hand!
Makes us into criminals doesn't it?
Do I need a concrete bunker on my houseboat? Really? lol

SA gov is getting a big bank of batteries but they have not told the public it is on the spur to take the power to NSW and ACT.
Perhaps they will give it to the east and then we can buy it back LOL.
Regards
Brian
