Been a very dry summer ... but the drought may have broken in NE Victoria. Had a week of on-and-off showers.
Started last weekend with a rainstorm. It was
p!$$ing down!!
As the drought had denuded our back yard of most of the grass, and the yard slopes downward to our carport, we ended up with much of our back yard covering the concrete floor there. In places it was 2.5~3" thick!
Took
FOUR HOURS for the two of us to scrape & sweep up the dirt, then hose off what we couldn't pick up.
This is what we shovelled off the carport floor:

... and this is what the golf club fairway near us looked like when we took the hounds for a walk there next day:
