Blatherskite Park, Alice Springs open for camping, permit required 0439 998 381 Best to ring & book your site, might be a good spot to stay a night or two :D

Can't see any mention of price?
Could do with some work on the speed of the website like reducing the size of the main picture!!!

Having spent a bit of time in ''The Alice"" the further out from town I camp the happier and more secure I feel.

Not saying there is a continious problem in town, it's just that I don't want to be there when it happens.

On one of the older forums ;) ;) , I mentioned something similar Ron in regards to stopping at Yalata on the way to/from Perth & was severely reprimanded.
I can't see it as racist or anything else if it's true & you are simply informing others of potential danger to life & property.

Not at all being racist, the facts are right there. The centre of town is a hotbed of several communities who do not appear to have very much in common, except what comes out of a bottle.

When did they re-open the showgrounds the caravan park made the council close it a few years back (for campers)
We camped there for a cuppla weeks about 4 years ago .

Only recently reopened Bernie with a limit of I think 30 sites but becomes unlimited if the CPs are full, better to ring ahead & book a site.
