SCAM SCAM !!!

If you are a customer of Telstra please be warned that if you normally receive a copy of your invoice/statement by email that there is a current scam going around that may cause your computer to become infected.
Normally that email includes a PDF document that is your statement.
There is your account number clearly stated in the SUBJECT line of the email. If this is NOT your account number be VERY suspicious.
To confirm it is a scam you will notice the attachment is NOT a PDF document but is in fact a ZIP'ed up file.
No harm will come if you don't open it.
You can save it to my Documents & then scan it. Warnings will result.
I have seen similar from credit card companies, banks and other organisations.
These people are so smart they actually sent it one day before I normally receive it!!!
The headers show it originates from TW. (Tiawan?)

I never used to either but after converting I'm never going back.
The ability to renew registration, pay rates, electricity & a host of other things whilst many km's away is just so ....... convenient.
A cheque in the mail is a lot more unsafe!!!

Dot that is what we used to do too until out 3 month trip up North some years ago.
All the hassles getting someone to get your mail, open it, decide what;'s important & send it up to where you THINK you may be ........... nope, not any more!!
It really is quite secure now as the banks have insurance to cover anything bad happening. Mind you if you find you can't stay away from facebook, twitter and all those type of sites then maybe you need a second cheap comp for just the official duties.........

I have been doing all our bill paying and banking online for some 3years now as admin said so convenient, when you are on the road no need to hassle anyone to do it for you... so far finger crossed no problems...

As a good friend I will volunteer to help you out.
Just send me your bank details and I will do it all for you, that way it will go through my computer and keep yours safe.

Doing it like that will also free up Georges time to do the housework.
