If I had the money, there are 3 electric coaches for sale in Aus, 2 x 12m city buses, 1 x 12.5m touring coach. The 12.5m tourer is the sister of the coach that completed over 1100klms on one charge and it could easily be set up with 10kw + solar to make it a very long distance rechargeable tourer. They all have ranges of 400klms as is, 4hr recharge times and come as a package so you have you buy the 3 and that means winning lotto. If you spent the dollars and fitted it out, you could also increase the kWh by adding more cells and along with the panels, it could become a semi autonomous solar powered MH, now just have to buy a lotto ticket and then buy the buses. They are pretty cheap as a package and you could sell the city buses and keep the big coach to live in at very low cost.

They have already been stripped out for parts because they could not get a buyer for the complete busses and coach. I've put in a bid for a gearbox, motor, inverter and controller but they want way too much for something that would have no back up and require the new owner to be a computer programmer as well as an engineer to figure out why it wasn't working.
The batteries from all these buses were sold off through the AEVA for home battery projects at a great price. Now I have a few in the state wanting me to design a BMS system to use these cells and build an off grid power system for them. Trying to tame multiple 400Ah cells configured in groups of 16 in series with an active balancing system that can move enough capacity from the high cell to the lower cells during the short period the voltage remains high at the end of the charge cycle yet stop the high cell from being over voltage damaged is a problem still being sorted. I've only recently managed to do it with the Winston cells that are very closely matched when it comes to internal resistance and capacity, these AVASS cells aren't even close to being a common capacity or internal resistance.
