Wiki camps
Heck, I have just turned Wiki on - first time for months- to find it all changed. Sort of worked it out, but can it be used when not in service as I used to use the previous Wiki.

Re: Wiki camps
Yes it can Kay but you need to download offline maps again. You must download the Australia map first and then the states. The new version is very good but it requires a lot of patience to re-learn. There is a WikiCamps User Facebook group that will quickly respond to your questions.
I’m still trying to come to grips with the changes.

Re: Wiki camps
Thanks for that info Leslie. I can't even get wiki to open properly for me, luckily Terrie can. But it looks different to my version. Looks like I need to download all again.
Cheers

Re: Wiki camps
Another tip is to look at their tutorial videos which apparently are very good.

Re: Wiki camps
We don't use Wikicamps a lot, but it is a useful fallback to have. It even managed to get us to a remote camp location in Karlamilyi NP which Hema has incorrect. That impressed & surprised me. Anyhow I don't think the newest version involves that much of a learning curve. I updated ours several months ago. In the meantime I have probably used it on less than a handful of times, but when I opened it last night to have a look around at Cape York camp spots it just seemed to come naturally. It would be fair to say that now, thinking about it, I can't really recall how the old version differed.

Re: Wiki camps
When Wiki updated it made obsolete a lot of older iPad's and Tablets.
I was determined Not to buy a new iPad just for using Wiki, so I scrounged around on the net and found a site from Sonic that had all the wiki apps from day 1 and down loaded the earlier version onto my old iPad.
So far I haven't had to use it in anger , but it will happen again after our next O.S trip in April
Then back to wheels again.
I have loaded Wiki onto my Surface 3 computer by using "Bluestacks " which runs android on Windows 10 as well as the i pad.
