The manufacturer, https://www.ev-power.com.au/product/gbs-lifepo4-cells/ these are the same cells as were used in my Prius plug in battery pack and constantly leak an electrolyte smell.
The way they were connected, built as 5 separate batteries rather than 5 cells in parallel x 4 sets in series
the BMS board is only on one 12v battery, not the other 4 x 12v batteries.
Basically, someone who didn't know what they were doing have wasted a lot of money

Ah yes. I did post something on their blog site when they were complaining about the loss of capacity after the battery was 12 mths old

Knowing what you are doing and listening to advice and then following it up to see if it was good or poor advice, neither are traits American's are known for ;) They were sure they were the pioneers in the field and knew it all, you can't help some people. They were lucky to get 7 yrs, I'm guessing a lot of that time was connected to shore power and they only discovered they had a problem when they tried to rely on the battery pack.

From what I have read the led things on the battery joiners drain it so much after putting the bus in storage after the cyclone the auto cut in never worked 🧐🧐🧐

Ummmm...... that is a reverse type of system if ever I heard of one, shouldn't a low battery activate the battery isolation? Basically know as a fail to safe, if anything tested for or unexpected happens, the battery isolator/contactor is released and the battery is isolated. Yet another reason not to use the cell top balance/BMS boards, they keep on draining even if the battery isolator cuts in. Far better to isolate the battery completely if the system is going into long term storage.

Yes it appears that was the problem long term storage and not checking on storage regularly More money than sence 🤔

The real loss was all the heat that they subjected them to. They finely finished them off in storage.
