Wayne, if you mean those little jump start packs that they advertise on late night tv, about the size of a phone now, then yes they work. Don't know that I would want to try to jump start the m/home with one though. A mate has one and he reckons it works fine on his little car. Not sure what they have as a battery, must be some sort of lithium.

Wayne,

Are you going to use it to power the inverter for the A/C?

There are two power levels available:
One for cars with petrol engines; one for Diesel engines & trucks.
Friend has the diesel version for his m/h.
Stuck it in his hip pocket and forgot to remove it when he sat down.
He broke both the high jump and pole vault records in one go. 🤣

Watched one fail dismally on a pootol a couple of weeks ago. He eventually accepted my offer of a traditional jumpstart. Fella did not have a good weekend. He and his mate had words the following evening, and he left real early the following morning.

If you are trying to start an engine and the battery isn't quite turning the engine over fast enough for it to actually start, wait around 20 mins, about the time it takes to find the thing and connect it up, and will generally start anyway. There might be a very small advantage to be had because the charge in the small booster battery pack will discharge into the semi flat battery giving it a few Ah more capacity than it had without it, but that would not be enough if the start battery was drained to a very low voltage like a light being left on or the radio going or someone trying to run the fridge from the start battery for a day or more ......

I have performed the "Power of the People" trick on a few occasions, get everyone in the area to join hands while the person with the car that won't quite start sits and waits till we have it all organised and chant the magic words ... then the person on each end of the circle puts a finger on the battery terminal and the whole group chants, "start, start start" and miraculously the engine winds over and starts when the car owner turns the key ...... gives the "hippies" in the crowd a real boost and they carry on about cosmic energy and what ever else .... but it was the 10 or 15 min wait that did the trick
