Jargon Bingo

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Jargon Bingo

Post by Greynomad »

Found this beautiful piece of (deliberate) nonsense on another forum, and thought I just gotta share it! :D
I hear what you're saying. However, in terms of slogans, there are a few issues to be addressed. We need a conversation around collaboratively seeking higher level learnings, new imaginings and holistic new meanings, and of course sustainability. Reaching out while singing from the same hymn sheet, we must drill down to achieve a dynamic, symbiotic engagement. It's not just the low hanging fruit we're concerned with but laying the foundation for a robust structure. That's the takeaway here.
 :?
It was followed by the comment, "You forgot 'scalability'..."

Sounds just like any meeting at the council. I used to call it 'Wank word Bingo'. Unfortunately too many people aren't prepared to walk the talk. They just want to sound important .

David, It's sounding like you're not engaging. We need a team player.

Jon, you obviously had to put up with the same drivel.
God I miss it. Not!
I suppose it really isn't just the councils, but more likely all the big companies.

Had a similar piece of nonsense pouring from the mouths of a "communications" committee meeting I was sort of forced to attend after complaining at a toolbox meeting that the dribble coming down from the head office simply had zero meaning that could be understood by those actually doing the work.

After the whole dribble session of buzz phrases had poured out, I tasked each member of the "committee" to pick a "buzz phrase" and explain, in single syllable words, strung together to form sentences that a 6th grader would understand ....... needless to say, I never had to attend another "communications committee meeting"
