Gurley Hotel fire

Post by supersparky »

This popped up on my news feed yesterday. The poor old Royal Hotel at Gurley, on the Newell Hwy, just south of Moree has burnt down. It's been closed a few times in the past few years for various reasons.

Yeah I saw that too David. Had a few meals there.
Was a good truck stop back in the 80's. Was always on again, off again. Mostly due to keeping staff on to run it.
Been several stops do similar over the years. Kiata pub was another

I worked just up the road in Moree in my teens.
Had a few (slightly illegal 😉) ales there on my days off.
Well, I LOOKED over 18… or at least the publican didn’t ask.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

IDave, can't remember, I am talking about my laptop. I only use my phone for voice calls or the occasional text message.

My laptop is that old it still runs on Windows 7. Don't think auto correct was invented then. I mostly use my phone these days.

I use my phone more than the laptop, I always have my phone with me but not my laptop, so it's easier to use.phone has auto correct but not the laptop.
I don't take the laptop down to Sydney...
I don't know of that pub...

Bernie.
