As Shirley said, there has been constant drizzly rain all day and it's flaming cold. The grass in our backyard is already saturated, so pulling the van out would have made a bit of a mess of his precious grass.
We are glad that we cancelled the weekend. When I rang the park to cancel, they told me that as there was no 48hours warning, we would probably not get our deposit back. It was $50, so that was a bit annoying. Today, there was an email from the park offering me a credit for their chain for well over $200. I suspect this was a combination of other members deposits and they had been sent to my name by error. I did return the email with the receipt number for my deposit and suggested they contact the organiser of the event. What a strange park accounting system. Tomorrow will tell.
During some of the lightest rain, I wandered down the road to a protest rally. It was organised by an environmental mob to share the information about the upcoming EPA lawsuit against Delta electricity over the two fish kill events last year. We held up banners that were provided that said Delta was murdering our fish and ruining our lake (something along that thought). Lots of photos were taken, but don't expect to see them anywhere that we might frequent (like Sydney Morning Herald).
The kiln is not in use Dot. I am hoping to get somethings done soon, but they are mainly repairs to splat bowls that lost a few legs on the last trip. Good hired help is so hard to find!
