Farewell to Huonville - on to Cambridge just north of Hobart. On the way out spotted the platypus again:

The day we turned up at Huonville two geese took up position in front of the MH. They remained there all day every day until we left this morning. Woe betide anybody who approached the MH - even us.

Went to the MOPA (Museum of Peurile Art) - known otherwise as MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). What a wast of time and money.

There ought to be a big sign out the front warning that there are better things to do in Hobart.

Maybe she didn't know what was written on the board.

We stayed at Glen Innes showground a couple of yrs ago with a chap that traveled the country making boards for outside cafe etc., he spent 3 days there making boards for the area.

All I could discover is that her dad operates the pancake stall - no doubt his doing! They were getting plenty of laughs.

For the Bussies among you - a photo of the first bus built in Australia on a Hino chassis and running gear. Seen at the Tasmanian Transport Museum.

I worked on that bus while i was working as a mechanic at ace bus service. The bosses son in law Shane drove it. It had a screaming Jap 4 cyl 2 stroke similar to the 453GM, it screamed it's tits off all day every day as a passenger bus, but it just kept on going. Not sure if it had been a retro fit or not as I think those buses came out with the 210 pony flat Hino 6 cyl, there was no way they ever produced 210 hp
