A view over Pirates Cove towards The Blowhole from the Eaglehawk Neck Lookout (a 10k rough 4WD track in off the Arthur Highway)

Escaped the big smoke of Hobart and arrived at Coles Bay on the Frecinet Peninsular. After a leisurely trip with a few stops we only had time for a quick photo at the beach and a glass of wine in the pub.

No prize for guessing where this is - Wineglass Bay on the Freycinet Peninsular.

It's a bit of a climb for a couple of 70 year olds - overweight in some cases! It was worth doing but it's not overwhelming.
If it was on someone's bucket list my advice would be to not prolong the agony of death just to see it. Better to buy a postcard of it, go to the pub, get some cheese and greens and a bottle of wine, and enjoy what's left in a somewhat anesthetized state. :D

And what about this! The tech specs of the local light house. A 12v 35w halogen globe! I would have thought the safety of thousands aboard a cruise ship would be worth a few more watts than that. If money is the issue I would happily donate a brighter LED globe. :!:
