Hello from the cyclone centre of Queensland

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hi Dot and all,
Eric & Lyn Aussie venture are still here Bells Creek (Sunshine Coast) Qld. No flooding but high winds. Power went off Thursday 5pm
And to be updated April 2 at 8 pm . You would think we was living in the bush .Luckily we have a generator to carry us over till then. But now the next job is to start cutting up the large tree that fell in the back yard to clear it away.
We were pretty lucky really.
Regards All Eric & Lyn. Aussieventurer.

Good to hear you are safe and sound (not head wise) :) Greg & Dee in Bowen now have a dribble of water available and internet & ph back. She said they are exhausted but I would assume that stress of the whole thing would be contributing. Hope you have a combustion heater to use that wood up Eric :) good old gennies hey now lets hear the kill the genny people speak badly of them :) Keep us updated please :)

You have to worry about Greg's mental health, fancy stocking up on XXXX, I would have thought they had enough dirty water laying around at the moment  Glad to hear you both made it through the storm with a house still around you, I have no wish to ever experience being in a hurricane and hoping I'm still alive afterwards to tell the story so I really feel for those that have no real choice but to batten down and sit it out.

Think I'd be in that motorhome of yours Eric and watching the news from some where miles away till it all settled down, storms are just too unpredictable. Good luck with the tree cutting, not enough sun for the solar and lithium batteries?

Hi Dot & Terry,
All safe here,
The power boys came around before lunch today and put new fuses on the pole out front and then the next pole back so now we have power. They said
the line had actually been struck by lightning.
The tree has been mulched and the trunk was taken to the dump. I have pains everywhere.
So now we have power full time and with that full time water from the bore.We ran the genie 8 hours a day [4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening to keep the freezer up and water for the house and toilet and shower.] It is actually easier to live in the camper with the lithiums with all services on line.
Got call from Dibbs a coupler days ago, he and Della are having a good time up north.
Thank you all and will catch up with you all later.I look in on the forum pretty regularly.

Regards Eric & Lyn. aussieventurer.
