Re: Bus suspension
Do Jeeps have air compressors?
As far as the compressor capacity, rego rules say the compressor must be able to fill all air tanks and air bags to 80% of the compressor governor point from zero pressure (drained and air bags fully deflated) within 5 mins, I think the newer ADR regulations have that down to 3 mins. That would require quite a bit more pumping output than the old single cyl compressor that came with the old Bedford and Leyland motors

Yes. Deviating further from the OP's questions, some Grand Cherokees have air suspension. It's referred to as Quadralift, is optional on any model, and standard on Overland and Summit. The usual components including compressor, holding tank, air lines, air springs, etc...
It's somewhat similar to the Land Rover system.

Re: Bus suspension
I recollect them having a "Quadrodrive" or some such diff lock system, the "Quad" part of it generally referring to how many times they needed a shot a the hill.Barboots wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 8:07 pm Yes. Yeah... I guess that means Quadralift is how many times you end up on the back of a tilt-tray [emoji23]bagmaker wrote:I recollect them having a "Quadrodrive" or some such diff lock system, the "Quad" part of it generally referring to how many times they needed a shot a the hill.Barboots wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 8:07 pm Yes.
