Re: Where is this....
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Where is this....
No idea what her christened name was, but her maiden name was June Gough, Bronhill was said to be an abbreviation of her home town of Broken Hill but who knows if there was any truth in that, seems a strange abbreviation to me.Keith Morris wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 4:44 pm"tanks" here Peter, June Bronhill was her stage name.
What was her christened name ?

June Mary Gough, and Bronhill was an abbreviation of Broken hill, which where she comes from. There used to be a display about her in the Palace broken hill, I think. It may have been another pub as we've played in a few there and some have shut down now.

The family were not in the best circumstances and the townspeople contributed towards cost of overseas trip to sing/perform in a major event, which she won. As a result of the support from Broken Hill, June adopted the stage name "June BronHill".

So Keith, you need to pick the best correct entry and hand that baton on to the next participant ....... must be something in this coffee, big words or finely ground dictionary maybe
