The chairs in question came with the van, they're leather on a recliner frame - the type that the base slides forward, but remains flat, whilst the back drops down & back & has fixed leather arm rests that rub against the seat as it slides forward... creating a squeaking noise. The recline mechanism is a fairly simple chrome rod that slides through a fixed plastic type of frame adhered to the base of the backrest... that also makes a groaning type of noise. Not quite as bad as it was yesterday after I gave it a squirt of Lanotec... but now thinking perhaps wipe that off & add a thin smear of Vaseline or similar.
But how to stop the leather squeaking noise... that is bloody annoying?
