True male older boar pig is mainly used for bacon. There is a claim the male pork has a urine smell but you would need a very sensitive noise to smell I'd think.

Dot wrote:Female pork is the best because of the hormone oestrogen. This is the soft hormone, males have some of this hormone but as you will know the male hormone Testosterone is the stronger (tougher) one. The female pork is also a lighter pink than the male pork and also the smell is not as strong with the female pork. Yes you can ask for female pork but the butchers won't know the difference unless they especially order it. Another thing to consider is the way they are slaughtered, as stress makes the fibres tougher. Never expected such a technical answer did you :?: :?: :D
I can't take it any more, I have been getting the evil eye from Mr "holier than thou" because I made all of this post up all apart from the bit about the stress at slaughter on the toughness of the meat. So there, I am sorry for being a naughty girl but it did sound good didn't it

I'm sure you've met Chuckie haven't you Norman, is your memory going on you or some thing. There is story going around about Chuckie, Derek's pickled onions and Dottie's bathroom that must have heard a bit about

I will work on my spelling for you Norman, spell checker sure didn't see it, nor did I the first few time either and couldn't figure out what you were on about

T1,
When I first read it, I thought, "That almost qualifies for my 'Inglish As She Is Writ' thread."
But I thought I'd hold off, bearing in mind the sensitivities of our moderators, and the rule about 'no personal criticism'.
Been flamed once... that's enough.

'Not Guilty, yer honner!' :D

Hey being "Flamed" is ok it's the letters and phone calls you have to be scared of.
All is fair with spelling ,punctuations mistakes slackness etc, as long as it is not aimed at our members, never know who has a problem that is not their fault. Ain't that rite  :?:

Are you into reading books Ray? Terry Pratchett’s A Disc World Series would have you entertained for years. Some of the spelling the witches, members of the watch and the wizards use requires a few re-reads to figure out just what it says  Then interpreting what the Igors have said by replacing the false lisp (a traditional characteristic and clan requirement of all Igors) bits to reveal the hidden piece of wisdom as only seen through an Igor’s eyes adds a whole new world of entertainment as well

Dot, Most of what you 'made up' is correct. I know guys that catch piglets and nut them when they are little. Makes the pork sausages taste better apparently.
Tell Mr Holier than though to have a chill pill with whatever else you are filling him up with tonight.
Cheers
